Cabin Trip December 2012

We were so blessed yet again this year to be able to go to east Tennessee with the Addisons. I did not do a good job taking pictures while we were there so please see Ashley's post about the trip by clicking here.

Ummmmm, not sure what is happening here. Looks like Josh is trying to force a group hug. Never a good idea.

Story time with Mrs. Addison. Even on vacation she molds young minds.

Like I said, I didn't document very well but it was a blast. Love having great travel buddies like the Addisons

So, there are a ton of pictures on this post that aren't quite that different but I just loved all of the faces so I went ahead and put them on.

Here is Ellie Grace from December 16.

Miscellaneous Happenings

trying to put pipe cleaners through a very small hole

such concentration

Her very own felt Christmas tree, which turned out to be a bust in the end, it kept falling off and she wasn't very good at gently putting the felt ornaments on so they'd just fall off and she'd get frustrated. Next year I think it will be better. (props to Josh, who cut all the ornaments out)

reading to bear, he's so attentive

Better late than never, right?

Here is our big girl from Sunday, December 9th.

"Should I touch it?"

"I'll just step on the train track, maybe they won't notice."

Torn

I am so torn when Ellie Grace does things like this. It's so fun to watch her explore and see what she is capable of and she is so stinkin proud of herself and happy about it when she manages such a feat as this but I don't want her to fall and get hurt and I don't want her to be a crazy child climbing all over the place.  Soooooo, today I snapped several pictures really fast and then we had a discussion about why we don't need to do that again. :) I'm sure it went in one ear and out the other, quite literally.
