Our first pool!

Ellie Grace loves swimming so we decided to get an inflatable for us to enjoy. It's pretty gigantic. Josh wanted to be able to lay comfortably in it and that he can do! He's still not pleased with the size of it. He wants to be able to stand and still be submerged, maybe next year. 

Josh is going to be in this thing every afternoon after a long hot day outside, for sure.

Josh's 28th Birthday/ Memorial Day 2012

Josh's birthday was on Memorial Day this year and it was a great day. He and I got to go on a fishing date at Indian Lake thanks to Ellie Grace's wonderful grandparents. 

Josh's mom used Ellie Grace's old car seat to transport her that day so that morning we tried it out to make sure she still fit and she had a big time with it. 

We had a great time fishing.

EXTRA EXTRA, Read all about it! Ellie Grace is Going to be a Big Cousin!!!

Ellie Grace's Aunt Whitney and Uncle Brent are having a baby! Yippee!We are super pumped, beyond measure! They told us back in early April but and this is how it went down. We went to eat at Ms. Tina's and Whitney had told me earlier that she had a gift for Ellie Grace. Well, Whitney is all the time sewing stuff so I didn't think anything about it but when I opened the gift it was the t-shirt seen below and it says "big cousin" on it in case you can't tell from the picture. It took me a second to figure it out but it was very exciting. Whitney is 12 weeks along and she has been oh so sick up to this point. We are hoping and praying that the 12 week magic kicks in and she is sick no more!

I realize that the picture below is very similar to the one above but I love Brent's expression and how Ellie Grace is looking up at him, so I just had to post it.

We already love little baby Sneed and can't wait to meet him or her!

From this week

Here are a few pictures from our week.

Ellie Grace is going to be a climber, I know for sure. She is always lifting her leg up trying to catch it on something she might be able to climb up on. She loves to pull everything out of this cabinet in her room and she managed to stand on the pack of diapers, pretty talented. Oh and aren't these the cutest overalls you've ever seen? $8 at the OshKosh outlet in Sevierville!

She is also really enjoying resting her head on various things. In the den she likes to go pull a pillow off the couch, lay down and rest her head on it.

BIG NEWS! On Tuesday night Ellie Grace took a few unassisted steps! She has not done it since so she is definitely not an official walker but I felt I needed to document that fact. I wasn't able to capture it because I was obviously very focused on what she was doing. It won't be long before she is a real live walker. Lord, help me, please!

We went to the Godsey's house on Saturday night for a get together with our Seeking Him group from church. It was a great time. Ellie Grace loves to swim as you can see below.

Ellie Grace did turn 13 months old today. I'm not going to be doing the monthly posts anymore. I'll probably do a synopsis post every 6 months from now on but I do predict that she will be walking by her 14 month birthday. She is standing with no hands quite a bit these days. We are in for a wild ride, I'm sure! Oh and she is a climber, she is trying to climb before she can walk!
