Six Months

It's hard to believe Ellie Grace could possibly be 6 months but it is true. Here are some of her 6 month sticker pictures.

I love this expression. I wonder what she is thinking.

At Ellie Grace's six month check up appointment she weighed 17 lbs 13 oz and was 26" tall. She is in the 75th percentile in height and weight and her head is in the 90th percentile. Don't worry she'll grow into it. :) She got four shots and had fever for about 24 hours after. That was her first time to have fever, to my knowledge. 

Ellie Grace is CONSTANTLY putting things in her mouth. There is never a time when she doesn't either have something in her mouth or is trying to get something in her mouth. I've never experienced anything like it. She also reaches for any and everything. It's really hard to hold her while I make her bottle now because she tries to do a dive bomb out of my arms onto the counter to get whatever she sees. She likes to play with anything that she can get in her mouth. She especially loves the white silky tags on anything. She is consistently rolling over from both back to stomach and stomach to back. She sits up pretty good unassisted for a little while but she will eventually tump back, front or to the side. If she tumps to the side or front she promptly wiggles herself onto her tummy which is really fun to watch. A lot of times if she is laying on her back she is trying to sit up. She laughs a lot and we love it when she does. She has been eating rice cereal mixed with sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, peas and bananas. It seems like she doesn't like to eat solids in the morning but woofs it down in the evening. She's a really great napper. She pretty much takes 2 to 3 naps a day and goes down for them really well, which makes me very happy. She is really enjoying bath time more too. 

She is really getting to be a lot of fun and is very sweet. We love her and are very thankful for a healthy and happy baby girl. 

Sunday, October 23rd, Photo Shoot

If you can't tell from the photo, the shoes are part of the panty hose! I love that. I'm excited for it to be getting cooler because of the things Ellie Grace has to wear. This is one of our many finds at the Carter's store in Sevierville. 

Sunday, October 16th, Photo Shoot

Here is Ellie Grace from this past Sunday, October 16th. I think this will be the last time for this dress. It's kind of tight around the neck. 

This is also the dress she wore for pictures at Whitney & Brent's wedding, which was Saturday, October 15th. I'm so sad that I failed to take pictures for the blog at the wedding. I just didn't have time to think about it really. They are married nonetheless and we are so excited about it. Ellie Grace has a new uncle and she really likes him already. 

East Tennessee Trip

We went to the Sevierville/ Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg area from October 1- 11 with my family and it was a great time. Here are some pics from the trip.

We stayed in Nashville on the way there and the way back so it wouldn't be such a long drive and this was Ellie Grace's bed at the hotel.

These next few pictures are at a really cool store we went to that had some fall scenes set up.

We had a bonfire one night with hot dogs and smores. I am standing on the bridge to avoid any spiders. We saw a huge one at the start of the bonfire.

This was Ellie Grace's high chair spot for the week. 

She's wearing multiple bows because it was brought to my attention that she hadn't been wearing bows on this vacation as much as usual so I decided to make up for it all in one day by having her wear them all at once.

It was a great trip and I'm so ready to go back.

Five Months

Ellie Grace turned 5 months on September 19th. 

Here are some pics of her and her sticker. 

Here is what is going on with her right now. Drool, drool and more drool! She is constantly drooling and putting things in her mouth all the time! It's really crazy to me. She is consistently rolling from her back to her stomach and occasionally from stomach to back. She is so strong. She tries to sit up all the time. If we sit her up, she can sit there upright for a little while but she will tump over and she is able to wiggle herself onto her stomach when she does tump over so that's exciting. She's quite the eater too. She has enjoyed sweet potatoes, squash, carrots and peas so far. It seems like I can't feed her enough. She is getting so big. I took her to the doctor on September 6th about her cheek and she weighed 16lbs 4oz then so I'm sure she weighs 17lbs by now. She still loves her pacifier but is getting a lot better about keeping it in. She goes to sleep on her side and ends up all kinds of ways and still loves to have a lovie. She also likes to have something to fiddle with when she's taking her bottle too. It can be her bib, my arm, Josh's beard, just whatever her hand comes across. That's all I can think of right now. She is so sweet and just funny to watch. We love her.
