Mathes Baby #2-Arriving December 2013

Exciting times are ahead for us Matheses. We found out that Ellie Grace will be a big sister about 2 months ago. I am now 13 weeks and the due date is December 24, 2013. I'm really hoping that baby comes early or late. I don't want to be in the hospital on Christmas! Things have gone really well so far and we are thankful. Ellie Grace is starting to act like she understands that there is a baby in Mommy's belly. Well, I know she doesn't understand but she does acknowledge it now. It's very funny and cute. We tell her that we will get a new baby for Christmas. We are really hoping for a boy because we have no baby boys on either side of our immediate family. Plus, Josh needs a boy to pass on all his manly talents to. We are very excited about the new baby and scared out of our minds too. Well, really I'm the only scared one, but that's nothing new.

Ellie Grace's 2nd Birthday Party

Well, Ellie Grace turned two on April 19 and she had a party on April 27 and now it is June 20. Better late than never, right? I don't know what my blogging deal is. Oh well, could be worse. 

We had a great birthday party, despite the fact that Ellie Grace was quite sour most of the time. I don't think she likes a group of people on her home turf messing with her stuff. We may never have a birthday party for her again, she was that bad. The pictures don't depict it but she was so rude. Anywho, onto more positive notes from the party. 

Nina made delicious strawberry cupcakes and Aunt Whitney made the toppers for us. It was an Elmo theme but not over the top.

Ellie Grace received this special gift at her party. She had no idea what it meant but everyone else was excited. At the party I was only 5 weeks but since it was just close friends & family we decided to take the opportunity to make the big reveal. I'll do a separate post about the particulars but don't hold your breath.  :)
