The Last Week or So

Here is Ellie Grace, the first morning after she slept in her new bed. She was do excited when she woke up, almost like she had forgotten she had a new bed and just realized it when she woke up. It's been a week now & she's doing great at night & nap. So grateful for that!

When I got her up that morning I told her we were going to celebrate her sleeping so good in her new bed with a breakfast picnic. She loved it. Several times since then she asks if we can celebrate just at random, which means she wants to have a picnic inside.

She kept taking breaks from our picnic to play piano.

Watching something with Daddy.

Watching something under her new bed.

Watching a show in her tent on top of her trampoline. Hmmm, I see a trend here.

Helping clean the floor.

Playing with our neighbor Olivia.

Another morning where she asked if we could celebrate & I just couldn't say no.

Learning to rock climb with Grandaddy.

Ready for church.

Coloring with Judah.

Washing dishes time.

Her hair ended up like this from her just messing with the headband & it cracked me up.

She wore her clip on earrings and necklace on our walk.

In the next few pictures she's letting me know that we need to go the other way because a man was using a leaf blower & she was scared.

Standing on a stump.

And then we had a picnic lunch.

I had a baby shower on Saturday & my friend, Angela Wheeler, made this incredibly cute onesie for Mason.

Josh is making the letters of Mason's name out of old pallet wood. He has the M & A done so far & I am amazed. He's a genius. Love them & can't wait to see them on the wall all together.

Riding horse daddy.

Showers of Blessing

I was given a baby shower this past Saturday by my friends April & Ashley. Thank you dear ladies! It was a huge blessing and we got a lot of cute things for Mason.

I didn't get any pictures of my own because I am silly like that but Ashley did a great job documenting it and documenting what Ellie Grace & Kate did while I was at the shower so I thought I would just link to her post about it and call it a day.

Big Girl Bed

Well, today was the big day! We said goodbye to Ellie Grace's crib & hello to a big girl loft bed built by Daddy. He labored hard on it working mostly at night after she went to bed sometimes to the wee hours of the morn. He did an awesome job as you shall see!

We first took some pictures of her room the old way so we don't forget.

Last time in the crib when it's hers. I'm sure she'll be in there with Mason sometime.

Had to play with Daddy in the crib one last time.

Then she grabbed his face & kissed him, so sweet.

Then assembly began.

She was so excited & kept saying, "this is so cool!" We got up in the bed with her & she loved that. She kept going up & down the stairs.

Then it was time for bed & she acted scared & said she wanted her little bed but ended up doing really well. She didn't make a peep & hasn't hardly moved since we went out.

I have to brag a little more here on my husband. Notice how the front rail folds down. That was not on the original plans we got off the Ana White website, it was his idea & designing. He did it so we could tuck her in easier & change the sheets easier. Genius material! I should also note that the stairs each lift up for storage inside. I forgot to photograph that.

Naturally, I was nervous about how she'd do going from a crib to such a big girl bed but so far so good. I know it's still early. We'll see how the night goes & how nap goes tomorrow.

Our Week

Playing with Daddy after work. We both love it when he gets home.

Excited about her house guest. She loves to pretend she's getting mail.

Playing on her new big girl mattress. The bed is almost done. She should be sleeping in it by this weekend!

Fun at Grace Playce.

Then we went to the park for a picnic with Ashley & Kate. Super fun! I did get stung by a wasp & that turned out to be quite unpleasant for a few days, better now though.

We then headed to Kate & Ashley's favorite yogurt eatery, Yogurt Mountain. Ellie Grace has never been an ice cream fan but this day she turned over a new leaf.

Trying it....

Thinking about it.....

The verdict is in!

At her Mother's Day out they have a car line where the teachers come & get her out of the car. To help the teachers out I unbuckle her & let her stand here while we wait in line until they come get her. She loves it!

She's excited about the rug for Mason's room. Me too.

We didn't go anywhere for halloween this year but on that night we went over to my parents to celebrate my mom's birthday with my brother & his family. The other girls were wearing costumes just for fun so we dressed Ellie Grace up as a basketball princess.

Friday night we went & watched Daddy play flag football. She loves to go. She gets so excited when he runs, he's really fast. She also enjoyed her first tootsie roll pop. It was a miniature one. I don't think she liked the gooey center. We shall stick with dum dums. Her favorite part of suckers is when it gets really small & she's able to bite it off the stick so from the very first lick she starts asking me," is it ready to bite yet?" So I have to tell her no about 86 times until it is actually ready to bite.

Teaching Ellie Grace the finer things of flag football.

Working on her golf game.

Styling in daddy's shades.

Showing her painted pumpkins. We have continued to paint them over & over.

Enjoying lunch outside.

I have probably made an unwise decision but Ms. Moody eater eats so much better when I let her sit in a regular chair as opposed to the high chair so I am letting her sometimes.  :/

Here she is Sunday. We were waiting for some people before we got out of the car. She wasn't riding like this. :)

Daddy joined Ellie Grace on her favorite spot in the house in somewhat of a spring picture pose.

On our walk this morning.

Chalking it up.

Playing in our flower beds. She thought she was in the jungle.
